About Julia

Julia is your sounding board when it comes to inclusion, gender equality and diversity, the impact these issues can have on organisations and how they can lead to increased growth. Never before have these issues been more relevant. Julia can tell you about the actual benefits to be gained when these issues are taken seriously and she is not afraid to address the frustration which so often surrounds questions of inclusion and gender equality.

Organisations that are actively working to create equal opportunities for all staff perform better, leading to increased competitiveness, profitability and growth. Knowing what needs to be done, what the opportunities are and which strategies will work is a challenge. This is where Julia can provide new perspectives and get to the heart of questions relating to structures and stereotypes.

She quickly becomes acquainted with businesses and connects the dots between inclusion and gender equality issues with the type of the leadership and communication needed. The goal is always to create a company culture that is sustainable in the long run, which in turn yields a higher profitability.

When there is a need to work strategically with issues of inclusion, Julia knows the most common challenges. She deals with bias, our subjective interpretations, and how they affects decision-making. When decisions are made quickly, they are often based on automatic brain system functions, meaning they might be the quickest, but not necessarily the smartest decisions. One example of this is “like seeks like”, which for instance makes hiring people who closely resemble yourself feel like the safe and easy choice. This is where Julia can challenge you to think differently and she is happy to do it. One of her favourite topics is unbiased recruitment.

Julia’s career began with a Masters in Organisational Communication, and additionally she studied leadership, organisational development and gender equality. She has pursued various roles in marketing and communication and worked within culture, leadership and coaching. She has a passion for fast-growing companies and today, she is a frequently hired speaker while also running her own company, Inkluderingsbyrån (The Inclusion Bureau).

JJulia’s interest in inclusion and gender equality has always been part of her work. Growing up in a free-church environment, she quickly gained an insight into how structures of power can be abused. She experienced exclusion, honour culture and how misused communication can affect people. She has since left the free-church community.

As a person, Julia is curious, dedicated and inclusive. She is a natural-born leader who sees and makes the most of the knowledge in others. She is outgoing, warm and listens carefully before giving advice and support.

One reason why Julia is so appreciated is because she makes other people see the world as a bigger place.
